Certona is an application that integrates into Demandware and functions as an omnichannel serving up personalized content based on user-collected data. Ecommerce Aces partnered with Journelle’s ecommerce team to take the project from initiation to closing through a seamless project life cycle. We took full responsibility to architect the back end implementation phase by following best practices and including all JavaScript through a Demandware script file. This project presented many challenges that required heavy troubleshooting to pin point issues and heavy Demandware scripting to provide technical solution. Ecommerce Aces got involved in weekly scrum calls with Certona team to assure all technical requirements were met. One major issue that arose was: Certona did not have the ability to apply logic at variation product level, which did not allow them to control PDP’s Wear With logic. Ecommerce Aces solved this problem by architecting, developing and implementing Journelle’s PDP Wear With logic that assures Wear With up-sell slider serves up correct variation products pertaining to that parent product the user is viewing. The project launched on time and error less as Ecommerce Aces provided exceptional Demandware development services from start to finish and included all technical documentation in JIRA for it to be accessible by Journelle and Journelle’s IT team.

Notify Me functionality allows consumers who land on PDP's that are out of stock to come across an experience that allows them to sign up and get notified via email once that particular variation size is back in stock. Ecommerce Aces partnered with Journelle’s ecommerce team to provide all Demandware architectural solutions, back-end development, front-end development, implementation, QA, launch and documentation services. We followed best practices by hosting all Demandware scripting functionality in a dedicated script file and working with SASS to assure all CSS is complied and we are following Journelle’s IT development processes. Challenges were presented as there were many web page real estate areas such as bra sizing, general sizing, quick view sizing, for desktop and mobile that required the application to be implemented within. With this, a great level of front-end development was required to assure pixel precise layout designs was accomplished. This project required extra support to provided very detailed technical documentation on how the functionality was build and how to maintain the Demandware Job that collects emails and sends notify me notifications.

Find Your Set functionality enables users to come across an experience where they can select up to three bra sizes and up to two bottom sizes and filter through search results that will return product sets grouped by color, selected sizes and in-stock availability. The idea was to create a user experience that ensures users will receive product sets that are indefinitely available in stock. Ecommerce Aces partnered with Journelle’s ecommerce team to provide all Demandware architect solutions, back-end development, front-end development, implementation, QA, launch and documentation services. The goal was to work closely with Journelle to assure the logic and back-end work is properly architected and front-end work includes all scenarios of error handling to deliver an intuitive user experience. A number of load time performance challenges were presented when working with Journelle’s long list of products within their catalog feed which led us to research other solutions by working with Demandware’s search pipelet. We followed best practices by hosting all Demandware scripting functionality in a dedicated script file and working with JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5 and SASS, we achieved all back-end and front-end initiatives.

Journelle's ecommerce site performance was returning results of 40 for Desktop and 31 for Mobile in Google's PageSpeed Insights app. Ecommerce Aces partnered with Journelle to fully understand the issue, perform history research on web applications launched in the past and gather requirements effectively. Following guidelines based on Google recommendations and browser site audit tools, we were able to substantially improve site performance and load times after we implemented all required updates and executed a number of bugs discovered during this process. Home page, Category page and Product Detail page speed performance scores have gone up well above 70 thus making this a huge site improvement for Journelle’s ecommerce site.

This project required working with JavaScript and jQuery frame work to implement a feature that enables product images with a zoom effect thus giving viewers the ability to see the fabric close up. Challenges were presented with image optimization that required working with Scene7 image-managing vendor to assure large images are web optimized. In addition to the image optimization challenges, working with jQuery Elevatezoom plug in presented some unforeseen bugs that conflicted with Journelle’s current slider functionality. As troubleshooting, research and architectural solutions were provided, we were able to successfully overcome all challenges and implement a zoom feature that works just as desired and enhances the PDP user experience to a great extent.

La Prairie required a module that would entice visitors to subscribe to their email list with the intention to grow their customer data base. Ecommerce Aces architected the logic, developed the application, managed the implementation phase and successfully launched the functionality. A challenge arose when we had to replicate this application across to La Prairie’s German, France, Australian and UK ecommerce sites. However, working precisely with back-end development by creating all needed slot tags in required templates, we were able to utilize the waterfall methodology by fully completing the application on US site first, then translating it and merging it down to the other country sites.

La Prairie’s Skin Caviar launch was the first product launch that required an entirely new experience introduced to laprairie.com. Ecommerce Aces worked closely with La Prairie's global digital team to meet with outside creative agency during the conceptualization phase while playing a major role in constructing the architecture of how this experience would be developed, implemented, QA’d, launched and maintained, while taking in to account a heavy translations process. The challenge was: how can we develop this luxury experience full of new functionalities and yet meet the initiatives of translating it to 18 different languages and implement it in 21 country sites. Working in back-end to create all necessary templates to achieve the layouts and working in business manager to organize creative asset structure, we were able to effectively utilize the waterfall methodology and successfully launch the experience across all county sites on time. The content hub page included an entirely new layout that overhauled the site theme design as it focused primarily on La Prairie’s new amazing Skin Caviar products. It included functionalities such as on hover events, HTML 5 full screen video player accommodating all devices, loaders to accommodate slower network speeds, new guided navigation, responsive design models and more.

La Prairie’s Anti-Aging Rapid Response Booster launch required a custom landing page that educates the consumer with the benefits this product and other products within the Anti-Aging collection bring to you skin. Ecommerce Aces teamed up with La Prairie’s global digital team to architect the development, implementation and launch of this CLP. The page was to include a video player, a science module slider explaining the benefits and a visually appealing animation module that allows users to click on product graphic to see product details and purchase. A number of challenges were presented in accomplishing a seamless animation effect and working closely with creative agency that was delivering video animations, we were able to guide them on exactly which frame by frame animation short clips in .mp4 format are required to achieve the desired user experience that highlights each product with a ‘energizing swoosh effect’. The experience required heavy development with JavaScript to create fall back functions to manage tablet / mobile experience and HTML5 video tag / CSS3 to accomplish those onClick animation events.
